Background

Lee joined Rockwell Collins in 2000 as a Program Manager in the Government Systems Airborne Solutions portfolio and transitioned into a business development role. In 2010 Lee was appointed as the Senior Director, Marketing for Rockwell Collins Government Systems worldwide.

In 2011, Lee was appointed as the President and Managing Director, of Rockwell Collins Canada based in Ottawa, Ontario; responsible for the Canadian operations and production facilities in Ottawa, and for providing shared services for their Montreal operation. In November 2018, Rockwell Collins was acquired by UTC Aerospace Systems to became Collins Aerospace and in April 2020, merged with Raytheon to become Raytheon Technologies.

During his tenure at Collins Aerospace in Canada, Lee was elected to the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada Board of Directors in 2012 and served on several board appointed committees including Finance and Audit as well as the Chair of the AIAC Technology and Innovation Committee. In 2020 Lee was elected as the Chairman of the Board and worked across Industry leaders and Senior Government officials to help craft AIAC’s Strategy for the Aerospace Sector resulting in a $2B add to the federal budget for Aerospace Innovation. Lee retired at the end of 2021 and remains a member of the Air Force Museum Society of Alberta Board of Directors and stays engaged with the Aerospace sector through events such as CANSEC and ADSE 2022.

Previously Lee served for 21 years in the RCAF as an Instructor Pilot at 2CFFTS Moose Jaw; Fighter Weapons Instructor fighter pilot with 421 SQN and 1 Air Division in Germany; as a Qualified Test Pilot at AETE Cold Lake; and 3 years at Spar Aerospace as a Senior Program & BD Manager for International programs.

Lee has a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and is a graduate of the Empire Tests Pilots’ School, U.K.
